Adopt the Green and White Anti-drug Ribbon – United For a Drug-Free Society
What is it?
The anti-drug ribbon, which is a green ribbon over a white one, represents support for the anti-drug cause. In Singapore, we have adopted the green and white anti-drug ribbon as a symbol of the anti-drug cause and our united stand against drugs.
The colours of the ribbon represent ‘Health’, ‘Vitality’ and ‘Strength’.
The green and white anti-drug ribbon was adopted as the anti-drug abuse symbol by the first-ever Asia-Pacific Forum Against Drugs (APFAD) held in Singapore from 27 and 28 Aug 2015. The Forum was attended by participants and speakers from various
countries in the Asia-Pacific region, United States, and Europe.
What can we do?
NCADA wishes to similarly encourage like-minded persons and organisations to show support and unity for a drug-free society by adopting the use of this green and white anti-drug ribbon.
In Singapore, the green and white anti-drug ribbon has been produced into collar pins and reproduced on other commemorative items which are distributed to members of the public to create awareness of the anti-drug cause. We have also prominently
used the green and white anti-drug ribbon during our outreach events and activities.
